Launched in 2019, the BTA Awards is the first dedicated ceremony that focuses purely on the achievement of Black technologists and the contribution they are making to the tech workforce.With the BTA Awards US, we want to celebrate and acknowledge the Black role models and innovators within the tech sector and to help illuminate the pathways to greater representation of the Black community within the industry.

Jay-Ann Lopez is the Founder of Black Girl Gamers, Honorary Professor of Norwich University of the Arts, Games Consultant, BAFTA Games Member & Judge, and Entrepreneur.
She is an Award-winning Founder and CEO of Black Girl Gamers; a popular and influential community-powered organisation that advocates for diversity and inclusion and heightening Black Women’s voices. Black Girl Gamers partners with brands to increase Black Women’s equity in the industry via talent brokering, consulting, innovative marketing solutions, events and content.
